Job Description

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team in LATAM. This individual will play a key role in optimizing and automating our development, build, and release processes to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of our systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and build and release processes, along with strong programming skills in Python and C++. The candidate must also have expertise in network protocols, Linux networking, and troubleshooting using tools like Wireshark.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline build, test, and release cycles.
  • Manage and configure Jenkins and other automation tools to ensure efficient release processes.
  • Develop automation solutions for testing, deployment, and infrastructure management using tools like Bazel and Make.
  • Collaborate with development and testing teams to improve code quality and accelerate release velocity.
  • Optimize and monitor systems for performance and reliability, troubleshooting issues during the build and release cycle.
  • Implement and maintain networking protocols (Layer 2 and Layer 3) and ensure efficient Linux network management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth coordination across all development stages.
  • Use Wireshark to troubleshoot and analyze network-related issues.
Key Requirements
  • 4 to 10 years of experience in DevOps with a focus on automation, CI/CD, and release processes.
  • Strong coding experience in Python and C++.
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools (primarily Jenkins), build and release processes, and automation tools (Bazel, Make).
  • Knowledge of networking protocols (Layer 2 and Layer 3) and Linux networking.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting tools like Wireshark.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on automation and process optimization.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Sonic (open-source network OS) and Switch Abstraction Interface (SAI) is a plus.
  • Co-location in Guadalajara is preferred, but open to candidates from any LATAM country.
