Job Description
DFM Engineer
Supports product development and manufacturing readiness for plastic and metal components. Ensures designs meet manufacturability, quality, cost, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities (Condensed)
- Conduct DFM reviews for plastics and metals.
- Review drawings, CAD models, and specifications.
- Support tooling validation (molds, dies, fixtures).
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root‑cause analysis.
- Support NPI launches, process validations, and PFMEA.
- Lead quality investigations and support PPAP documentation.
- Communicate with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Drive cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree (Mechanical).
- 3–7 years in plastics/metal manufacturing.
- Strong DFM, GD&T, CAD, SPC, PFMEA, PPAP knowledge.
