Regional Group is currently seeking experienced Diesel Fitters to join our team in Rockhampton, Queensland.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct servicing, maintenance, and repairs on Regional Group equipment including trucks, dozers, graders, compactors, rollers, excavators, and posi-tracks.
• Work within workshop rules and regulations at all times.
• Liaise with direct managers, supervisors, and managers daily.
• Thoroughly diagnose and repair faults.
• Work to tight schedules while maintaining the highest standards.
• Adopt and continue Lean practices to ensure quality and cost efficiency with all repairs and maintenance.

To Be Successful In This Role You Will Need

• Current driver’s licence (HR preferred but not essential).
• Fully qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
• Confident in all aspects of plant repairs.
• Sound knowledge of diesel engines and emissions.
• Sound knowledge of drivetrain, brakes, and suspension.
• Basic auto electrical knowledge.
• Competent with computers and digital diagnostics.
• Outstanding work ethic and commitment to getting the job done.
• Strong commitment to Work Health and Safety.
• A team player who is action‑focused and result‑oriented, who quickly comes up to speed on repairs and priority breakdowns.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
