**Diesel Mechanic**
**Location:** 460 NW 52nd Ave, Ocala, FL 34482

**Pay Range:** $30+ DOE
**Description:**
Florida Express Waste & Recycling is looking for a **safety-conscious Diesel Mechanic** to join our team in **Ocala, FL** . This position is responsible for performing repairs and preventive maintenance on our fleet of trucks and equipment, including electrical and hydraulic systems.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Perform repairs andpreventive maintenanceservices on diesel trucks and equipment.
+ Diagnose issues using vehicle computer electronics systems and initiate or assign repairs.
+ Conduct safety checks and inspections on vehicles and equipment.
+ Complete required documentation usingfleet maintenance software, including parts usage and repair time tracking.
+ Review and complete repairs identified on DriverVehicle InspectionReports (DVIRs).
+ Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
**Schedule:**
+ **Monday–Friday** , with occasional **Saturdays as needed**
**Working Conditions & Physical Effort:**
+ Ability to lift **50 lbs repeatedly** throughout the day.
+ Work is performed **outdoors in all weather conditions** .
+ Exposure to **moving mechanical parts** , **fumes** , **vibration** , and **moderate noise** .
+ Must follow all **basic safety precautions** .
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ **2+ years of diesel mechanic experience** preferred.
+ Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic systems.
+ Familiarity withfleet maintenance softwareandvehicle inspectionprotocols.
+ Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and outdoors year-round.
