Dietary Aide – Part Time (PT) – Extendicare Crossing Bridge

Join us at Extendicare as a Dietary Aide in our Ottawa, Ontario facility. In this role you will assist with plating and serving meals, clean serving areas and equipment, and support our culinary team following established policies and standards.

What you will be doing

• Serve food to residents according to individual diets and preferences, observing meal serving times and maintaining proper serving temperatures.
• Assist cooks in preparing uncooked food such as salads, vegetables, and fruits, and help with simple breakfast items, desserts, and garnishes.
• Clear plates and trays, load and operate the dishwasher, and clean pots, pans and utensils as per procedure.
• Participate in proper storage and labeling of dietary supplies and food, including leftovers.
