General Functions

- Assists in the preparation of food for residents and visitors including estimated food requirements and requisitioning needed supplies.

-Is responsible for maintaining high standards of quality food preparation and portion control, using standardized recipes. Is responsible for or delegates the responsibility to the other cook for preparation of food for residents, etc.

- Is responsible for the preparation of foods for special functions.

- Is responsible for the preparation of breakfast, dinner or supper as scheduled for securing food and assisting with preparation of other meals.

- Estimates food requirements for residents and staff as needed for each meal and requisitions needed for supplies.
