We specialize in developing (mixed-signal) ASICs, particularly RISC-V based microcontroller systems, for edge computing, IoT and SoCs for AI applications. This is a full-time hybrid role for a Digital Design Engineer located in Graz.
Tasks
As a Digital Design Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Designing, implementing, and verifying digital designs that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
- Developing FPGA-based prototypes to validate and demonstrate design concepts.
- Directly interacting with industry-leading clients to understand their challenges and provide effective solutions.
- Collaborating in the architecture and integration of large SoC designs, including AI accelerators and high-speed interfaces.
- Optimizing designs for performance, area, and power within complex SoC environments.
- Performing block-level and top-level verification using UVM or similar methodologies.
- Contributing to the definition of verification plans, testbench architectures and coverage metrics.
Requirements
Requirements
As an ideal candidate, you:
- Have a minimum of 6 years of experience in digital design for ASICs and/or FPGAs (6 years with a Master’s degree, 8 years with a Bachelor’s degree)
- Know at least one HDL (SystemVerilog or VHDL)
- Can implement and verify digital designs that meet the highest standards of quality and performance
- Can develop FPGA-based prototypes to validate and demonstrate design concepts
- Interact confidently with industry-leading clients to understand their challenges and deliver effective solutions
- Collaborate on the architecture and integration of large SoC designs, including AI accelerators and high-speed interfaces
- Optimize designs for performance, area, and power within complex SoC environments
- Contribute to verification plans, testbench architectures, and coverage metrics
- Are experienced in working with version control systems (Git preferred)
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Have experience in FPGA/ASIC verification (a plus)
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German is a plus
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Are able to work both independently and as part of a team

Design Service for Mixed Signal ASICs:
Supporting the development process from concept to implementation. Providing digital design and verification service for mixed signal ASICs with a special focus on RISC-V based microcontroller systems for edge and IoT applications.
Evaluation Board Development:
Development of application specific evaluation boards. Evaluation boards with or without a microcontroller are developed depending on application needs. Supporting the development of FPGA based evaluation boards if specific digital control logic is required.
FPGA development:
Providing design service for FPGA based prototyping systems and applications. Special focus and experience with the development of RISC-V based microcontroller systems.
