Job Description
● Bachelors/Masters Degree in a quantitative discipline, e.g. Engineering with 8 - 12 years work experience in Supply Chain consulting, systems development or architect role
● Proven hands‑on experience in SAP MM (required), exposure to SAP PP/QM desirable; experience with Ariba/Ivalua or other procurement platforms
● Preferred: Masters in Business Administration or equivalent from a premier B-school, Lean Six Sigma certification and Lean understanding
● Preferred: Experience in Manufacturing Organization
Roles and Responsibilities
● Business partner: Act as the single digital SPOC for Sourcing & Procurement digital initiatives. Partner with the CPO, category leads, supplier‑facing stakeholders and end users across direct & indirect procurement to translate business pain points into prioritized, outcome‑driven digital requirements.
a. Drive the sourcing digital roadmap and business case: quantify ROI, prioritize features (cost savings, cycle time, supplier onboarding, availability of critical parts) and defend prioritization with IS PO and functional leaders.
b. Own stakeholder governance: represent sourcing at solution reviews, escalate business criticality to IS and ensure delivered scope meets the agreed acceptance criteria and business goals.
c. Measure and improve: own KPIs and dashboards (PO cycle time, PO automation %, supplier OTIF, invoice exception rate, supplier onboarding time, critical parts availability) and use data to drive continuous improvement.
● Technology Evangelist: You will also be the evangelist for adoption of procurement platforms and digital tooling across sourcing.
a. Own functional design & documentation: author PRDs/functional specs, define data model/mappings for master data (supplier, material, contract), and specify API/EDI integration points to ERP (SAP MM/PP), procurement platforms, WMS/TMS and PLM where relevant.
b. Partner with other Information Systems/product teams to build a viable backlog, prioritize enhancements, and ensure solutions follow product development standards and secure, scalable integration patterns.
c. Lead acceptance activities: create test cases, run UAT, own cutover planning, manage hypercare and stabilisation post go‑live. Train and hand‑hold end users to drive adoption and behaviour change.
d. Participate in triage & resolution of design, integration or production issues that impact sourcing continuity; ensure fixes are verified and deployed with minimal business disruption.
● Process champion: You will also act as the process champion for sourcing‑facing workflows: convert problem statements into lean, plant‑compatible processes and system acceptance criteria.
