Job Description Job Description Directional Drill Operator Copper Country Dirt Works – Small Family-Owned Business Location: Tucson, AZ - Candidate must be willing to relocate to Tucson, AZ Pay: $20–$30 per hour (DOE) Growth Potential: Opportunity for raises and pay advancement after initial probation period (3 months) Incentives: Bonuses provided for holidays and successful completion of special projects Job Type: Full-Time Job Description Copper Country Dirt Works is a small family-owned utility construction company in Tucson, Arizona, seeking an experienced, motivated Directional Drill Operator with good work habits who can also operate a backhoe, skid steer, mini excavator, and vacuum excavator. This role includes horizontal directional drilling (HDD) using a Ditch Witch drill and underground utility installation. We’re looking for a dependable, hardworking operator who values teamwork and takes pride in quality work. Responsibilities Operate Ditch Witch directional drill Safely operate backhoe, skid steer, mini excavator, and vacuum excavator Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and job specifications Perform potholing, locating, and safe excavation around utilities Mix drilling fluids and maintain accurate bore logs Conduct daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance Work with crew to complete projects safely and efficiently Follow OSHA and company safety requirements Qualifications 1–3 years HDD/drill operator experience (preferred) Experience operating backhoe, skid steer, mini excavator, and vacuum excavator (required) Familiarity with Subsite locating systems Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in Tucson weather Motivated, reliable, with strong work habits Strong commitment to safety and teamwork Benefits $20–$30 per hour based on experience Overtime opportunities Family-oriented work environment Paid time off and holidays Training and advancement opportunities How to Apply Apply directly through ZipRecruiter or contact us:
