Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Leadership & Curriculum Management
Provide visionary leadership for the PGDM programme to ensure high academic standards and learning outcomes.
Design, review, and periodically update the PGDM curriculum in alignment with AICTE guidelines, industry trends, and emerging management practices.
Ensure effective implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE), experiential learning, case-based pedagogy, and industry-integrated modules.
Oversee academic planning, course scheduling, credit structure, and assessment frameworks.
Promote innovation in teaching–learning processes, including use of technology, simulations, MOOCs, and blended learning models. 2. AICTE Compliance & Accreditation
Ensure full compliance with AICTE norms, approval processes, and reporting requirements.
Prepare, review, and submit documents related to AICTE approvals, inspections, and audits.
Coordinate with regulatory bodies, accreditation agencies, and institutional committees for quality assurance.
Implement policies related to admissions, faculty qualifications, student–faculty ratio, infrastructure, and academic delivery as per AICTE regulations. 3. Faculty Management & Development
Lead recruitment, induction, mentoring, and performance evaluation of PGDM faculty members.
Encourage faculty research, consultancy, publications, and participation in Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs).
Facilitate academic collaboration, interdisciplinary teaching, and continuous professional development.
Ensure optimal workload allocation and academic accountability. 4. Student Admissions & Academic Administration
Oversee the PGDM admission process in accordance with AICTE guidelines and institutional policies.
Ensure transparent and merit-based selection of students.
Monitor student attendance, academic progress, discipline, and overall development.
Address student grievances and provide academic guidance and mentoring. 5. Industry Interface & Placements
Strengthen industry linkages to ensure curriculum relevance and practical exposure.
Facilitate guest lectures, workshops, live projects, internships, and industry visits.
Collaborate with the Training & Placement Cell to enhance employability and placement outcomes.
Establish partnerships with corporate organizations, professional bodies, and alumni networks. 6. Research, Consultancy & Innovation
Promote a culture of research, innovation, and consultancy within the PGDM programme.
Encourage funded research projects, case writing, and industry-sponsored initiatives.
Support incubation, entrepreneurship development, and start-up initiatives among students and faculty. 7. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
Implement internal quality assurance mechanisms and academic audits.
Collect and analyze feedback from students, alumni, employers, and faculty for continuous improvement.
Monitor key academic performance indicators and take corrective actions where required. 8. Institutional Representation & Administration
Represent the PGDM programme in academic councils, statutory bodies, and external forums.
Support branding, admissions promotion, rankings, and institutional development initiatives.
Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and resource optimization for the programme.
Eligibility & Qualifications
Ph. D. in Management or allied disciplines (preferably as per AICTE norms).
Master’s degree in Management (MBA/PGDM or equivalent) with first class or equivalent grade.
Minimum required teaching and/or industry experience as prescribed by AICTE.
Proven academic leadership experience in management education.
Skills & Competencies
