About The Company
Our client, a leading alternative real estate investment manager focused on private credit and private equity, is seeking talent for an exciting leadership position in their Credit Execution team.
As Director - Credit Execution, you will lead the delivery of complex debt investments within the Melbourne Credit Execution team. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end execution of credit transactions, ensuring high standards of quality, compliance, and operational efficiency, while mentoring and developing junior credit professionals. You will play a key role in shaping investment outcomes, driving team performance, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end execution of complex, large-scale debt investments, from due diligence through settlement and ongoing asset management;
- Manage credit risk assessment, cash flow and feasibility modeling, and in-depth real estate project analysis;
- Develop and present comprehensive investment papers to the internal investment committee;
- Negotiate, review, and approve transaction documentation in line with internal mandates, approvals, and credit standards;
- Build and manage strong relationships with borrowers, developers, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient and well-coordinated transaction execution;
- Lead, mentor, and oversee analysts, associates, and senior associates, ensuring high-quality analysis, reporting, and timely delivery;
- Manage team resourcing by coordinating workload allocation and prioritisation within the Credit Execution function;
- Partner closely with the Head of Credit Execution on key strategic decisions, team structure, and recruitment initiatives;
- Provide support to the Equity Execution team across asset management and investment activities, as required;
- Maintain oversight of existing investments, including covenant compliance, investor reporting, and management of project variations;
- Contribute to broader firm initiatives, including capital raising, business strategy development, and investor engagement activities.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Over 10 years of experience in real estate credit, investment banking, private equity, or similar fields;
- Proven expertise in credit analysis, debt structuring, and real estate financing;
- Highly skilled in advanced financial modeling and comprehensive risk assessment;
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, demonstrated through successfully mentoring high-performing teams;
- Holds a tertiary qualification in finance, business, or a closely related discipline;
- Real estate experience is a must.
