Director – Data Solutions, General Insurance (India, Mumbai / Remote)

Position Overview

We are looking for a Data Solutions Director to lead enterprise data architecture, analytics strategy, and advanced data product development for global insurance operations. This is a high-impact leadership role involving cloud platforms, BI governance, GenAI integration, and cross-regional stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of data solutions across cloud platforms (Snowflake, Redshift).
• Oversee ETL/ELT workflows using Informatica or similar data orchestration tools.
• Manage enterprise BI environments, including Power BI administration, governance, capacity, and performance optimization.
• Deliver GenAI-linked projects, integrating AI features into reporting or operational workflows.
• Guide solution architecture decisions, data modelling, and platform scalability.
• Lead and mentor a regional data team, fostering high performance and innovation.
• Manage vendor relationships and collaborate closely with stakeholders across APAC, US, UK, and Europe.

• Drive continuous improvements in data quality, governance, and automation.

Key Requirements

• 8+ years’ experience in data platforms, analytics, BI engineering, or data product roles.
• Sector experience in General Insurance is mandatory.
• Strong experience with Snowflake and/or AWS Redshift, Informatica ETL, Power BI (Desktop/Service, ALM pipelines, governance).
• Hands-on involvement in GenAI implementations and data-driven AI projects.
