Job Description

The mission of the Director, Disputes is to oversee and lead complex investigations, support relationship managers in nurturing and grow client relationships, and contribute to the business development efforts of the Dispute Practices, in support of Mintz Group’s strategic goal. This role focuses on fostering a culture of excellence, ensuring the delivery of high-quality investigative results, and mentoring team members within and outside the practice. By contributing to process improvements and innovation, the Director helps uphold Mintz Group’s reputation as a trusted partner in uncovering the truth and mitigating risks.

Job Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key client accounts.
  • Manage client expectations and provide strategic recommendations during investigations.
  • Coordinate client outreach efforts and business development initiatives via Salesforce and other internal tools.
  • Support origination targets by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

Leadership and Mentorship :

  • Provide expert-level guidance and training to staff across titles and practices.
  • Mentor and sponsor colleagues, fostering their career progression.
  • Promote collaboration and information sharing within the team.
  • Oversee and ensuring thorough research and actionable reporting.
  • Develop and implement innovative methodologies to improve investigative processes.
  • Uphold ethical and professional standards in all client-facing deliverables.

Strategic Contributions :

  • Contribute to the development of new service offerings and business strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless client experiences.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong ability to present investigative findings to C-suite executives and key stakeholders.
  • Proven experience guiding investigative strategy and mitigating risks.
  • Mastery of investigative methodologies, legal research, and financial intelligence.
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain strategic client partnerships.
  • Experience contributing to revenue growth and business development strategies.
  • Deep understanding of investigative ethics, regulatory frameworks, and corporate governance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8-12 years of experience in investigations, research, or related fields.
  • Extensive experience managing investigative teams and client relationships.
  • Strong expertise in legal, regulatory, and financial investigations.
  • Proven track record in business development and client management.
  • Proficiency with investigative databases, including Westlaw and Nexis.
  • We are seeking candidates with a proficiency in Arabic, Portuguese, French, Russian, Scandinavian languages and Hebrew. Candidates must possess native, fluent, or highly advanced proficiency in English, as the role involves regular report writing and conducting calls in English.
