Director Engineering – Platform

<p>We are seeking an experienced <b>Director of Engineering Platform</b> to lead the transformation and modernization of a large-scale enterprise platform built on microservices architecture. This strategic leadership role will drive engineering excellence, oversee globally distributed teams, and accelerate innovation through AI-enabled development practices.</p> <p>You will play a pivotal role in scaling platform capabilities, reducing technical debt, modernizing systems, and ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions that align with business and product objectives.</p> <p> </p> <p><b>Key Responsibilities for this role:-</b></p> <ul> <li>Lead modernization and evolution of a <b>platform microservices architecture</b></li> <li>Define and execute engineering strategies aligned with business and product goals</li> <li>Partner with Product to build and maintain platform technology roadmaps</li> <li>Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing global engineering teams</li> <li>Foster a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement</li> <li>Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering initiatives</li> <li>Ensure platform scalability, performance, reliability, and security</li> <li>Drive technical debt reduction and system modernization</li> <li>Champion <b>API-first and integration-driven development</b> practices</li> <li>Oversee <b>B2B API platform</b> development and partner integrations</li> <li>Guide <b>ERP system integrations</b> to ensure seamless data flow and process alignment</li> <li>Embed <b>GenAI and AI-assisted development</b> across the SDLC for faster time-to-market</li> <li>Manage engineering budgets and optimize resource utilization</li> <li>Lead the transition from regional engineering silos to unified global teams</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b>Required Experience & Skills</b></p> <ul> <li><b>15+ years</b> of experience in software engineering</li> <li><b>6+ years</b> in engineering leadership roles</li> <li>Deep expertise in <b>platform and SaaS architecture</b></li> <li>Proven experience building and scaling <b>large distributed systems</b></li> <li>Strong background in <b>Agile, cloud-native, and high-availability architectures</b></li> <li>Experience managing hiring, performance, and career development</li> <li>Strong understanding of software cost and infrastructure economics</li> <li>Technical expertise in:</li> </ul> <p>1<b>.Java, AWS, RedHat, Golang</b></p> <p><b>2.Microservices & APIs</b></p> <p><b>3.ETL tools and front-end technologies</b></p> <p><b>4.GitHub, GitHub Copilot, Jira</b></p> <ul> <li>Experience leveraging <b>AI code assistants</b> to improve engineering productivity</li> <li>Excellent communication skills with technical and business stakeholders</li> </ul>
