  1. Responsibilities Reporting to the Dean of the School (Academic Matters)


The Director shall report to the Dean on all academic matters, with a focus on excellence in teaching, research, faculty development, curriculum innovation, and academic engagement.


1.1 Academic Leadership and Values

  • Foster a culture of academic integrity, critical inquiry, and shared leadership.
  • Promote a collegial and inclusive academic environment aligned with the university’s academic values.


1.2 Academic Strategy and Curriculum Development

  • Assist the Dean in the development and execution of academic plans and school-level academic strategy.
  • Participate in the design and periodic review of curriculum to ensure relevance, future-readiness, and industry alignment.
  • Promote innovative pedagogies, including blended learning, project-based learning, and integration of emerging technologies


1.3 Teaching and Academic Operations

  • Oversee course delivery, examinations, evaluations, and academic audits.
  • Ensure academic calendar adherence and continuous improvement in teaching and learning quality.
  • Teach at least one course per semester to lead by example and stay engaged with academic processes.


1.4 Research, Innovation, and Consultancy

  • Promote high-impact, interdisciplinary research and publication in reputed journals and conferences.
  • Facilitate faculty-led consultancy projects and development of research infrastructure.
  • Encourage innovation, intellectual property generation, and applied research outcomes.


1.5 Faculty Development and Academic Staffing

  • Mentor faculty and support staff, supporting their academic and professional growth.
  • Facilitate faculty development programs (FDPs), research workshops, and international academic exposure.
  • Conduct academic performance reviews and support faculty career progression in collaboration with HR.


1.6 Academic Engagement and Dissemination

  • Organize academic seminars, conferences, workshops, and training programs.
  • Promote Executive education and continuing education initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to enhance the School’s academic visibility and public profile.


1.7 Academic Planning, Review, and Quality Monitoring

  • Conduct quarterly reviews of academic performance, including teaching quality, research output, and student outcomes.
  • Provide data-driven insights for academic planning, benchmarking, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute academic data and narratives (curriculum, research, faculty profiles) for institutional rankings and accreditation submissions.


2. Responsibilities Reporting to the Campus Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administrative, Financial, and Operational Matters)


The Director shall report to the Campus Pro-Vice Chancellor on all operational,

financial, and administrative matters to ensure institutional effectiveness,

resource efficiency, and regulatory compliance.


2.1 Administrative Leadership and Institutional Governance

  • Uphold transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct in all administrative functions.
  • Ensure effective implementation of policies and governance frameworks in alignment with university standards.


2.2 Resource and Infrastructure Management

  • Oversee daily operations of the School, including management of classrooms, laboratories, IT systems, and physical facilities.
  • Ensure optimal use of academic and support resources, including teaching aids, software, and infrastructure.
  • Facilitate procurement and maintenance of academic, research, and digital infrastructure.


2.3 Financial Planning and Budgetary Oversight

  • Develop and manage the School’s annual budget in consultation with Dean, HoDs and Deputy HoDs.
  • Ensure transparent and strategic allocation of financial resources.
  • Monitor financial performance and ensure adherence to approved budgetary guidelines.


2.4 Institutional Partnerships and Stakeholder Relations

  • Establish and strengthen formal collaborations with industry, government agencies, research bodies, and alumni networks.
  • Support the advancement of institutional goals through Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and joint initiatives.
  • Coordinate with academic units for implementation of partnership-related activities.


2.5 Regulatory Compliance and Accreditation Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory bodies (AICTE, UGC, NAAC, NBA, etc.).
  • Oversee data collection, formatting, and submission of documentation for accreditation and audit processes.
  • Liaise with academic units and relevant internal departments to ensure timely and accurate institutional reporting.


2.6 School Environment, Grievance Redressal, and Disciplinary Oversight

  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and professional environment for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Lead resolution of operational grievances, campus conduct matters, and disciplinary issues.
  • Coordinate with the Dean on the resolution of academic-related grievances (e.g., grade disputes, academic misconduct).


2.7 Operational Monitoring and Reporting

  • Conduct regular assessments of resource utilization, infrastructure effectiveness, and operational compliance.
  • Submit periodic administrative and financial reports to the Campus Pro-Vice Chancellor, including data for planning and audits.


Candidate Eligibility:

● The candidate must hold a PhD in CSE or related disciplines (such as AI, ML, Data Science) with at least two degrees in CSE or related disciplines.

● The candidate should hold the position of Associate Professor or higher.

● The candidate must have a minimum of twelve years of university teaching experience in CSE or related disciplines and at least three years of administrative experience as HoD/ Asst. Director/ Assoc. Director/ Director.
