Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Chief Engineer Civil based in Chennai. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and executing civil engineering projects. Daily responsibilities include planning, designing, and implementing construction projects, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards, reviewing and approving project designs, managing budgets, and supervising a team of engineers. Coordinating with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget is also a vital part of the role.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Civil Engineering, including structural analysis, design, and construction project management
• Strong skills in budgeting, cost estimation, and resource management
• Excellent leadership skills, team management, and ability to delegate effectively
• Thorough knowledge of construction codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, especially for client and team collaboration
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• A minimum of 15+ years experience in civil engineering projects, including large-scale construction ventures
