Director of Engineering

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Engineering to join our team in Mysuru, India. As a key member of our leadership team, you will oversee all engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring the efficient and safe functioning of our facilities while driving innovation and sustainability initiatives.

• Lead and manage the engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programs to optimize facility performance and reduce downtime
• Oversee all mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, and building infrastructure systems
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards in Mysuru, India
• Develop and manage annual engineering budgets and capital expenditure plans
• Implement and monitor energy management systems to improve efficiency and sustainability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance guest experience through innovative technical solutions
• Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and regulatory authorities
• Lead engineering aspects of renovation projects and new installations
• Analyze technical data and prepare reports for senior management
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Facilities Engineering
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Strong expertise in MEP systems, fire safety regulations, and building standards
• In-depth knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Mysuru, India
• Proven track record in managing large-scale engineering projects and teams
• Experience with sustainability initiatives and energy management systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
• Excellent budgeting and financial management abilities
• Proficiency in project management and CMMS software
• Outstanding leadership and communication skills
• Hands-on, organized, and safety-focused approach to operations
• Experience in hospitality or related industries is highly desirable
• Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus
