Our flagship brand, EcoPeriod, provides reusable menstrual pads and other sustainable products, tackling period poverty and driving environmental impact across Ghana and beyond.


As we scale, we seek a dynamic and visionary Director of Marketing & Business Development to lead Sales and Marketing, drive Strategic Partnerships, and spearhead Digital Marketing & Communications to fuel our mission and accelerate business growth.


Role Summary


We are looking for a highly strategic, results-driven, and innovative leader to oversee our sales and marketing efforts, partnership development, and digital communications strategy. This role will be instrumental in expanding Eco-Me Africa’s customer base, securing high-value partnerships, and enhancing brand visibility through innovative marketing strategies. The Director will work closely with the CEO and cross-functional teams to scale revenue, strengthen brand positioning, and expand market reach across Ghana and West Africa.


Key Responsibilities1. Sales and Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to increase brand awareness, drive customer acquisition, and maximize revenue.

  • Identify new markets, customer segments, and innovative sales channels to grow B2B, B2G, and B2C sales.

  • Establish and Oversee the performance of the Eco-Diva sales agents, ensuring they have the tools, training, and motivation to scale grassroots sales and community engagement.

  • Develop data-driven marketing campaigns, including digital and traditional marketing efforts, to improve customer engagement and brand recognition.

  • Monitor sales performance, track KPIs, and refine strategies for consistent growth.
  • 2. Strategic Partnership Development

  • Identify and cultivate partnerships with corporations, NGOs, government agencies, retail distributors, and development organizations.

  • Drive the development and execution of corporate social responsibility (CSR) partnerships, unlocking bulk sales and donation-based initiatives.

  • Negotiate and secure strategic collaborations that align with Eco-Me Africa’s mission, ensuring long-term growth and sustainable impact.

  • Represent Eco-Me Africa at conferences, trade shows, and industry events to expand our network and attract funding opportunities.
  • 3. Digital Marketing & Communications

  • Develop and lead a robust digital marketing strategy leveraging social media, SEO, content marketing, and paid advertising to increase brand awareness and customer acquisition.

  • Oversee content creation for website, blogs, email campaigns, and social media platforms to enhance brand storytelling and engagement.

  • Manage public relations and media outreach, positioning Eco-Me Africa as a leading voice in sustainability, menstrual health, and social entrepreneurship.

  • Implement performance marketing techniques (Google Ads, social media ads, influencer collaborations) to maximize ROI on digital campaigns.

  • Use analytics tools to track, measure, and optimize marketing efforts, ensuring high engagement and conversion rates.
  • 4. Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing Sales & Marketing team, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between marketing, product development, and sales strategies.

  • Provide regular reports to the CEO and executive team, offering insights, recommendations, and data-driven strategies for business growth.
  • Qualifications & ExperienceMust-Have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in sales, marketing, business development, or partnerships, preferably in FMCG, social enterprises, or sustainability-focused organizations.

  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful sales and marketing strategies with measurable impact.

  • Experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, and content strategy to drive brand awareness and lead generation.

  • Strong network and experience in building strategic partnerships with corporate organizations, NGOs, and government institutions.

  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and public speaking skills, with the ability to represent Eco-Me Africa at high-level meetings and conferences.

  • Proficiency in data analysis, CRM tools, and marketing analytics platforms to measure campaign performance and sales growth.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in sustainability, menstrual health, or consumer goods industries is a plus.

  • Hands-on experience in social impact marketing or cause-based campaigns.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-impact environment while managing multiple priorities.
