This is a key leadership position that will join our team at a critical growth period and help keep our newsroom publishing high‑impact, reader‑supported journalism in a supportive and effective team environment.

About the role

The Director of Operations will report to the Publisher and will manage the day‑to‑day operations of our mission‑driven newsroom. The role includes overseeing staffing and HR, financial strategy, revenue goals, funding applications, and strategic planning. The position is based in Vancouver, B.C., at The Tyee’s downtown head office.
