As the Director of Technology, you will act as a strategic partner to our global stakeholders by demonstrating a deep understanding of local market and business sectors and their specific challenges and opportunities.
You will oversee Product R&D and IT service delivery for our Gurgaon-based operations, collaborating with global stakeholders to manage the planning, execution, and delivery of all software and infrastructure projects for our India teams. Additionally, you will seek guidance from our Global Stakeholders on strategic vision, innovation, and the product roadmap as needed.
You will lead a team of IT professionals to ensure the smooth functioning, security, and efficiency of the organization's technology systems and Research & Development teams.
Your strategic vision and technical expertise will drive innovation, improve processes, and support the organization's goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement strategic plans for IT software and infrastructure delivery, in line with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Identify opportunities for technological advancements to enhance business operations and competitiveness.
Collaborate with executive management to prioritize IT initiatives and investments.
Provide guidance and direction to the Technology team, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and industry best practices.
Oversee the full project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and schedules.
Effectively allocate resources, including personnel, budget, and technology, to support project delivery and meet business requirements.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including product management, IT operations, and business stakeholders, to deliver integrated solutions.
Conduct various reviews to understand the rate of delivery and quality standards.
Technical Leadership:
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in software development.
Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and tools to support software development efforts.
Provide technical guidance and expertise to resolve complex technical challenges and ensure architectural integrity and scalability of software solutions.
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, business partners, and external vendors, to ensure alignment and support for IT delivery initiatives.
Handle escalations and ensure suitable actions are taken to resolve the escalations.
Conduct business reviews with global stakeholders
Risk Management:
Identify and assess project risks, ensuring that potential issues are proactively addressed to minimize impact on project delivery.
Develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure business continuity.
Quality Assurance:
Establish and maintain standards and best practices for software and infrastructure delivery, ensuring that all projects meet quality, security, and compliance requirements.
Ensure provisions of Conduct code reviews and adherence to coding standards, best practices, and coding conventions.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting :
Implement metrics and KPIs to monitor project performance and provide regular reports to senior management on progress, issues, and risks.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience in managing product and feature launches toa large userbase.
Solid understanding of continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and Cloud Technologies.
Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading and developing high- performing teams.
5+ years demonstrated competency in Amazon Web Services including AWS Solutions Architect certification.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
understanding of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall, as well as relevant technologies and tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification preferred.
Be able to travel to U. S. 1-2 times a year.
