Director of Transaction Services

A leading Foreign Bank is looking for seasoned Transaction Banking Head in East Africa.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for building and scaling the transaction banking franchise by driving revenue, increasing wallet share, and strengthening client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead transactional sales origination, cross-sell initiatives, and client engagement strategies
• Own cash management, payments, trade finance, and FX solutions portfolio
• Drive market share growth, CASA balances, and transaction throughput
• Partner closely with Relationship Managers to embed transactional targets into client strategies
• Identify and launch digital, automated, and innovative transaction banking products
• Monitor KPIs including revenue, volumes, turnaround times, and client satisfaction (NPS)
• Improve process efficiency, service delivery, and customer journeys
• Ensure full compliance with AML/KYC and regulatory frameworks
• Embed a transaction-led culture across the corporate banking ecosystem

Candidate Profile

• 8–10+ years of experience in Transactional Banking / Cash Management / Corporate Banking
• Strong understanding of B2B banking clients and competitor solutions
