This position is a key leadership role responsible for strategically managing the company’s treasury operations, ensuring optimal cash flow, minimizing financial risk, and supporting strategic initiatives. This role oversees cash management, liquidity planning, banking relationships, debt management, and investment strategies, driving financial stability and supporting the company's growth objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement treasury policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard company assets while effectively managing liquidity and cash forecasting (short, medium, and long-term).Respond proactively to funding stress and adverse market conditions with clear escalation protocols and execution of contingency measures.Optimize capital usage and funding costs; assist with capital planning and contingency funding plans.Manage daily cash operations, including cash positioning, forecasting, and reporting.Oversee funding operations, including warehouse lines, lines of credit, securitizations, and repurchase agreements.Manage banking relationships, custodians, investor counterparties, and servicing partners; negotiate terms.Oversee cash operations, payments, collateral management, and intraday liquidity controls.Lead debt management activities, including financing arrangements, covenant compliance, and interest rate risk mitigation.Establish and maintain treasury policies, controls, and procedures to ensure regulatory and investor reporting compliance.Direct investment of excess cash in accordance with company policy and risk tolerance.Implement treasury technology solutions to enhance efficiency and reporting.Create a concierge model that provides exceptional service to internal stakeholders and external banking partners.Stay abreast of new and updated financial products, regulations, and market trends, incorporating changes into treasury operations.Other duties as assigned. Performance Expectations:
Perform all actions in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Convictions of EHL.Provide a “WOW” experience and effectively communicate with associates, clients, partners, and vendors via phone, written communication, and/or in person.Set clear expectations for associates and support their personal and professional growth through one-on-one meetings held on a semi-monthly or more frequent basis and annual performance reviews with all direct reports.Address performance issues in a timely manner and document incidents.Anticipate staffing issues, plan for staffing changes in advance, and complete recruiting activities monthly for branches, or as needed for departments in order to hire high quality associates to fully staff the team.Host regular and timely communication with associates.Understand the responsibilities of production and operations and act as a liaison between functions to develop collaborative team relationships so that loans close on time, and as promised.Maintain basic knowledge of Evergreen’s HR, Onboarding, Payroll, and Accounting policies and systems and proactively consult applicable department when dealing with issues.Exude a positive attitude, mentor associates, set a good example (this includes appropriate dress and demeanor).Perform all actions in accordance with the policies and procedures of the company.Have knowledge about Evergreen’s mortgage processes and products in order to answer questions and support staff.Achieve key performance indicators and success metrics, including cost of funds, funding metrics, liquidity coverage, timely cash forecasts, and treasury report accuracy. Specific Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities Required for Position:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or professional certification (CTP, CFA) preferred.10+ years of progressive treasury/capital markets experience in mortgage finance, banking, or a related field, with at least 5 years in leadership.Understanding of cloud-based treasury management platforms, electronic banking interfaces, and treasury workstation technologies.Experience with mortgage banking systems that include Encompass and ICE/MSP, and other data management skills to extract, analyze and present treasury, accounting, servicing.Skilled in building complex financial models in Excel, using advanced modeling skills; VBA programming is desirable.Familiarity with implementing treasury workflow automations to improve data management, analytics and decision support capabilities.High integrity, strong risk discipline, and attention to operational detail.Deep knowledge of mortgage funding channels and products.Exceptional analytical, financial modeling, organizational, and leadership abilities.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Proficient in utilizing treasury management systems such as GTreasury, Kyriba, Optifunder, or other systems for cash management and liquidity forecasting, with experience in mortgage banking systems like Encompass and ICE/MSP.Skilled in building complex financial models in Excel, with advanced modeling skills; VBA programming is desirable.Exercise good judgment and strong character, motivated, hard working.Ability to work well with fellow associates, clients and vendors. Physical Requirements:
Business-related travel may be required.Requires all forms of dexterity and mobility throughout the shift, which may include extended periods of sitting and/or standing. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, twist, climb or balance, stoop, kneel crouch or crawl.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Must be able to speak and hear, lift and carry up to twenty-five pounds (25 lbs.) or occasionally more. Ability to work in a fast-paced, occasionally noisy environment. May be required to drive for business purposes and if so, must hold a driver’s license in good standing and maintain personal auto insurance in compliance with EHL’s Auto Insurance policy. Compensation:
The annual range rate for this position is $111,100 - $ 229,400 per year depending on a number of factors including location and experience. If applicable, associate may be eligible for bonuses or other variable earnings as determined upon hire.
