Job Description
Ignite Your Future:
At QAD, we’re transforming how intelligent, adaptive enterprise platforms are built and delivered—and we’re looking for a bold, outcome-driven Senior Director of PMO to help lead that transformation.
This is a high-visibility, strategic leadership role where you will design and run the execution engine behind QAD’s most critical engineering initiatives. You will partner with Engineering, Product, Cloud, SRE, Data, Security, and Executive Leadership to ensure that strategy turns into predictable delivery, measurable outcomes, and real customer impact.
You’ll operate at Champion Pace, bringing clarity, structure, and momentum across complex, global SaaS programs—while modernizing how planning, governance, and execution work in an AI- and cloud-first world.
This role balances strong technical fluency, executive presence, and deep program leadership, enabling you to influence at the highest levels while empowering teams to deliver at scale.
The Mission: What You'll Be Building
You will be the architect of execution excellence across QAD’s technology organization, anchored on:
Adaptive Applications – Enabling predictable, high-quality delivery of QAD’s intelligent platform.
Champion AI – Supporting AI-driven initiatives through disciplined execution, dependency management, and value tracking.
Cloud & SaaS Transformation – Orchestrating complex, multi-year programs that accelerate QAD’s evolution to a fully SaaS operating model.
From platform modernization to large-scale cloud, data, and AI initiatives, you will ensure that QAD’s most strategic bets are delivered on time, with transparency, and with measurable business impact.
Your Impact/ What you will be doing:
Build and lead a modern Engineering PMO, defining governance models, operating cadence, and execution standards aligned to SaaS and platform-centric delivery.
Translate strategy into outcomes by designing portfolio planning frameworks that connect investment, execution, and measurable business value.
Own planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale, cross-functional engineering programs, including platform modernization, cloud/SRE initiatives, AI and data platforms, and enterprise-wide tooling.
Establish standardized program and portfolio frameworks for planning, dependency management, risk mitigation, and executive-level reporting.
Drive execution excellence across globally distributed teams, acting as a senior escalation point to resolve delivery challenges and cross-team dependencies.
Partner closely with Engineering, Product, Architecture, Cloud Operations, Security, and Customer Experience to ensure alignment, predictability, and clear outcomes.
Define and drive adoption of metrics and KPIs to measure delivery health, engineering productivity, reliability, customer impact, and value realization.
Provide financial and operational oversight, supporting investment planning, capacity forecasting, budget governance, and ROI tracking for major initiatives.
Build and mentor a high-performing PMO leadership team, fostering a culture of clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Champion modern ways of working that balance speed, quality, and sustainability in a fast-moving SaaS environment.
Qualifications
15+ years of leadership experience in program, portfolio, or technology operations within large-scale SaaS or enterprise technology organizations.
Proven success leading complex, global engineering programs across cloud platforms, AI/data, reliability, and enterprise systems.
Demonstrated ability to build or transform PMO and portfolio governance functions at scale.
Strong executive presence with a track record of influencing senior engineering and product leaders.
Experience supporting AI-driven platforms, large-scale cloud transformations, and investment or portfolio-level decision-making.
Background in high-growth, platform-centric SaaS environments with exposure to P&L and technology investment governance
Core Technical Foundations / What we are looking for
Strong technical fluency in modern engineering practices, including Agile/DevOps, SRE, platform engineering, and cloud-native SaaS delivery.
Ability to engage credibly with engineering leaders and architects on delivery risks, trade-offs, and execution decisions.
Deep expertise in program and portfolio management, including planning, dependency management, risk mitigation, and large-scale governance.
Proven experience using delivery metrics, KPIs, and executive-level reporting to drive transparency and outcomes.
Experience leading complex programs across globally distributed teams in the US, EMEA, and APAC.
The Mindset:
Strategic & Systems Thinker: Sees across portfolios, understands trade-offs, and connects execution to business outcomes.
Calm, Confident Leader: Brings clarity during ambiguity and drives alignment across competing priorities.
Outcome-Driven: Focused on value delivery—not just milestones and status.
Change Agent: Comfortable modernizing processes, challenging legacy PMO models, and driving continuous improvement.
Trusted Partner: Builds credibility through transparency, consistency, and follow-through.
