Director, Project Management (Fixed- Term)

As leader of Program Management Office (PMO) you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and governance of all projects and programs within our organization for the digital portfolio. You will play a critical role in aligning our projects with our strategic objectives, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

This role will help regional and product business leaders make informed decisions about key digital projects across the region, which avenues to pursue, continue, modify, or terminate based on their alignment with the organization’s overall strategy, risk considerations, resource availability, and expected value. It involves assessing the performance, cost, and risks associated with each component of the portfolio, as well as considering factors like business value, return on investment, and potential synergies among different projects.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and set team and program goals according to the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Partner with product and technology leadership, regional management, and others across the organization to ensure successful delivery of the projects within the responsible portfolio(s). 
  • Responsible for the successful management, coordination and delivery of assigned projects on time and on budget as agreed upon.
  • Perform periodic project reviews of the team identifying risks and Issues proactively with mitigation plans and proper communication.
  • Ensure Project change management processes are applied at the individual project and entire portfolio level as applicable by securing approvals as necessary.
  • Be the thought leader in driving process improvements, identify improvement opportunities with solutions and be the change agent.
  • May manage projects while mentoring and developing staff.
  • Provide executive status updates at C-Level with crisp and clear communication
  • Makes complex decisions and recommendations under limited direction and using high degree of initiative and independent judgement.
  • Role Requirements: 

    To be successful in this role, end- to-end experience in project management.

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, plus 15+ years progressive management experience, including large-scale project management and personnel management.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience working directly with senior leaders in managing multiple, large cross-functional teams or projects, influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.
  • Certification PMI-PMP, PMI-ACP, and SAFe will be a plus
  • Expertise in resource management including capacity planning and allocation
  • Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics
  • Outstanding knowledge of data analysis, reporting and budgeting
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • An analytical mindset with great problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in analyzing data and using this data for process and program improvements and to inform strategy.
  • Outstanding facilitation and communication skills, including ability to inspire others.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at a technical or non-technical level, depending on the audience.
  • Superior leadership, coaching and mentoring skills, including the ability to lead a high-performing team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals at all different levels in the organization.
  • Self-starter/leader who can anticipate department needs in a proactive (versus, reactive) manner.
  • Strategic planning and organizational development knowledge and skills.
