Director, Real Estate Technology
Summary
The Director, Real Estate Technology leads the strategy, development, and governance of technology and data solutions that support the Corporate Real Estate function. This role drives innovation, enhances system capabilities, and delivers actionable insights that enable efficient operations, strong data integrity, and strategic decision-making across the real estate portfolio.
What You’ll Do
Technology Leadership
• Lead and develop a team of technology and data professionals to drive innovation and operational excellence.
• Set and evolve the technology strategy for all Real Estate systems, tools, and platforms.
• Serve as liaison between McKesson Technology, business stakeholders, vendors, and MRE users to ensure alignment, security, and compliance.
• Oversee functionality, enhancements, and governance of all real estate technology systems, including CMMS, intranet tools, and related applications.
Real Estate & Operational Technology Development
• Lead evolution and modernization of Operational Technology, including Building Management Systems and Digital Twin initiatives.
• Oversee upgrades, new functionality, and new technology deployments across the real estate technology ecosystem.
• Partner with outsourced service providers to ensure effective implementation with minimal disruption to operations.
• Manage change control processes and ensure adherence to established change management standards.
Data, Analytics & Reporting
• Develop and execute data governance policies and analytics strategies that improve data integrity and operational transparency.
• Oversee monthly and quarterly MRE performance metrics, ensuring accuracy, visibility, and enterprise alignment.
• Provide ad hoc reporting and transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights.
• Lead issue-resolution efforts with development teams to assess and communicate impacts of system problems.
Documentation, Communication & Training
• Develop and maintain SOPs, guidelines, and technical documentation for system configurations and operational processes.
• Create and deliver communication and training materials to ensure smooth adoption of technology solutions.
• Promote and educate stakeholders on the capabilities within the real estate technology stack.
Support & Remediation
• Manage escalation intake and ensure timely resolution of incidents, problems, and service requests.
• Oversee application support processes and ensure effective evaluation and response procedures are in place.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for assigned systems as needed.
What You Bring
• 12+ years of experience in technology leadership within real estate systems and applications.
• Expertise in Operational Technology, Building Management Systems, CMMS, lease administration software, architectural/engineering tools, and Microsoft Suite.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills with the ability to assess risk, cause-and-effect, and business impact.
• Deep understanding of real estate management principles across the portfolio lifecycle.
• Strong project management capabilities and effective communication skills, including storytelling and data translation.
• Ability to work at granular levels of process detail while driving strategic outcomes.
• Proven leadership and team-building abilities in dynamic, evolving environments.
Minimum Requirements
Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience and 4+ years of management experience.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and storyboarding.
