What Youll Be Doing (position summary):

To lead the end-to-end transition of technology services from the parent organization to the India GCC, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer, integration of processes, and delivery stabilization. The role also establishes and manages a flexible resource pool to provide scalable workforce support for both transition initiatives and ongoing operations.

How Youll Succeed (responsibilities):

Transition Management:

  • Lead planning, execution, and governance of technology transitions from HQ to India.
  • Define transition playbooks, knowledge transfer frameworks, and stabilization approaches.
  • Coordinate with global stakeholders to align on scope, timelines, and success measures.
  • Identify transition risks (knowledge gaps, attrition, SME dependency) and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on transition progress and risks.

Flex Resource Pool Oversight:

  • Assemble and mentor a cross-functional, highly skilled flex pool.
  • Structure the team for agility and rapid mobilization for urgent business needs.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to forecast and prioritize resourcing requirements based on technology demand
  • Develop and adjust resource planning strategies in line with business growth and technology evolution.
  • Track utilization, productivity, and cost-effectiveness; drive continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of change, learning, and experimentation.

Operational & Delivery Excellence:

  • Ensure alignment with enterprise standards (Agile, DevOps, InfoSec, compliance).
  • Track and report on transition KPIs (KT completion, stabilization timelines, delivery quality, flex pool deployment).
  • Establish continuous improvement processes for future transition waves.
  • Drive cost efficiency in workforce planning.

People Management & Leadership:

  • Lead, coach, and mentor transition managers, team leads, and flex pool members.
  • Build a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Ensure employee engagement and retention during transitions.
  • Act as a cultural ambassador to align India operations with parent company values.

Experience: 12+ years of experience

Who You Are (skills/qualifications):

Must Have Skills:

  • Education: Bachelors/masters in computer science, Engineering, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: 12+ years in IT/Technology leadership; minimum 5 years managing large-scale transitions or global delivery ramp-ups; proven experience in resource and workforce planning
  • Experience leading with global technology teams delivering large scale initiatives
  • Technical: Familiarity with modern tech stacks, Agile/DevOps, cloud, and digital transformation.
  • Leadership: Strong program management, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural collaboration.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and change management.
