Position Summary

Purpose/ScopeThe Workforce and Economic Development Division provides education, training, and talent development and employment services in Genesee, Livingston, and Shiawassee Counties through federal, state, local, and privately funded programs, as well as Adult Education, Regional Talent Initiatives, Corporate Services and Lifelong Learning, and Youth programs and includes oversight for daily operations, staff development, compliance with federal and state policies, funds management, and the delivery of outstanding services for students, families, and community members at various locations. Sites include: the Workforce Education Center, and three (3) Community Technology Center sites. A broad knowledge of workforce training, academic courses and programs, financial procedures, student services, and partnership development functions is essential for the success of the position and the departments that it oversees.
