Disability Support Worker - Community Access

Lakelands - providing support for an adult with anxiety, depression, and pt–s to regain confidence in participating more meaningfully in the local community. This client has a strong love for dogs and cats - therefore a likeminded individual with similar interests would be best suited.

Kelmscott - providing support for a mature lady, with a love for arts and crafts, who is wheelchair dependent to enjoy outings and social activities as well as run errands - transport will be provided.

About the role

Join Qualita Care & Support as a Disability Support Worker. In this casual role, you'll provide essential support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, helping them to live independently and participate more fully in their community.

We're seeking compassionate & proactive female Disability Support Workers with strong experience as a support worker, supporting individuals in the NDIS space.

This is a role to support clients with community access. Shifts will be 3 to 4 hours, 2 to 4 days per week. Shifts will be between 9am and 3pm.

  • Provide support to assist clients to engage in their local community
  • Provide personalised, high-quality support in daily living, personal care, community access.
  • Support participants to achieve their NDIS goals and enhance their independence.
  • Build meaningful relationships based on trust, respect, and empathy.

What you’ll need

  • Experience providing support to individuals with psychosocial and neurological disabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Medication Certificate
  • National Police Clearance
  • Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle (preferred)
  • Certificate 3 in Disability or Mental Health Support Work (is desirable)
