Support Worker Co is a leading support worker agency that provides best‑fit Disability Support Workers to disability service providers across Australia.

We are currently seeking casual Support Workers to support adult NDIS participants in SILs and respite services in Gladstone and surrounding suburbs.

Female Support Workers are preferred for this role due to female clients' requests with personal hygiene needs.

Overview Of The Role

  • We have opportunities to support people in SIL arrangements and respite services.
  • Participants receive 24‑hour care; staff work a combination of shifts – morning (from 6am), afternoon (from 2pm), and sleep‑over shifts.
  • Assist participants with a range of personal activities, including hygiene support, medication assistance, manual handling, domestic assistance, and meals.
  • Follow specific positive behaviour support plans (PBSP) to aid participants in engaging in community, social, and recreational activities.
  • Support people within both group settings and 1‑on‑1 arrangements.
  • Use a company vehicle and/or your own vehicle to transport participants to community‑based outings.

What you need

  • Completed or currently studying a Certificate III in Individual Support (or relevant).
  • 12 months paid experience supporting people in SILs with physical and intellectual disabilities.
  • Australian driver’s licence.
  • First Aid certificate.
  • CPR.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card) for paid employment.
  • National Police Check (obtained within the last 6 months or willingness to apply).
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
  • Reliable smartphone with data.
