Support Worker Co is a leading Support Worker Agency that provides best-fit Disability Support Workers to Disability Service providers across Australia.

We are currently seeking Casual Support Workers to support adult NDIS participants in SILs, & respite services across Rockhampton and surrounding suburbs.

Female Support Workers are preferred for this role due to female clients' requests with personal hygiene needs.

Overview Of The Role

  • We have opportunities to support people in SIL arrangements & respite services.
  • 24-hour care model, meaning staff are required to work a combination of shifts – morning (from 6am), afternoon (from 2pm) and sleep over shifts.
  • Assist participants with the range of personal activities including hygiene support, medication assistance, manual handling, domestic assistance & meals.
  • Following specific positive behaviour support plans (PBSP) Assist participants with engaging in community, social and recreational activities.
  • Support people within both group settings and 1-on-1 arrangements.
  • Use a company vehicle and/or your own vehicle to transport participants to community-based outings.

What you need

  • Completed or currently studying a Certificate III in Individual Support (or relevant)
  • 12 months paid experience supporting people in SILs with physical & intellectual disabilities.
  • Australian Driver’s License
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card) for paid employment
  • National Police Check (obtained within the last 6 months or willing to apply)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • Reliable smart phone with data
