Job Summary

:

Responsible for working in and monitoring/coordinating the work flow in functional Distribution Area. Demonstrated working knowledge in all areas Must have general knowledge of Private Label, Inventory Control, and general process flow through out Distribution Center. Must be proficient in primary work area. Acts as a backup in the absence of Supervisor for day to day activities. Must be able to provide strong guidance, leadership, communication, problem solving and troubleshooting skills across various levels. Requires minimal supervision.

  • Solid working knowledge of all distribution processes and procedures to include but not limited to: order processing, Baan Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Red Prairie Warehouse Management System, EZ Pick, carousel, voice, sorting, manifest, picks and packs customer, distributor, and contract orders via courier requested for shipment.
  • Oversees the work flow in each key area to assure timely completion; reports problems, and may assist in resolution in order to prevent any customer service shipping issues.
  • Seeks assistance from Supervisor in identifying and reporting problems or concerns, relating to job functions, safety, quality, employee performance, and attendance.
  • May interface with Customer Service.
  • As business dictates, employees may spend 100% of the day performing one particular task or may spend 50% of the day
    performing 1 task and the other 50% performing a 2nd task
     

    General Job Requirements:
    1. Works scheduled holidays in order to maintain service levels for customers.
    2. As business needs dictates, works extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks to include mandatory Saturdays.
    3. Works scheduled hours and is ready to work at scheduled start times, notifies Supervisor prior to absence or tardiness in accordance with company policy.
    4. Immediately informs Coordinator/Supervisor/Manager of safety, sanitation, and equipment malfunctions and concerns regarding quality issues.
    5. Exhibits good communication skills verbal, written, and comprehension of the English language.
    6. Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures and Regulatory requirements.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Forklift and Man-up License, Kewill, BAAN, Red Prairie Warehouse Management Systems, Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), FedEx and UPS Software Knowledge.
  • Wedge/radio frequency (RF) scanners, voice headsets, shrink sealer, heat tunnel, tape gun, utility knife, ladders, step stools, zebra printers, tray former, and various packing components, Forklifts, Man-ups. Within IDB area, additional equipment used, Hydraulic Pallet, Manual Pallet, and Hand Truck.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of three years of Distribution experience. Ability to perform basic mathematics and problem solving within a team based environment. PC Skills/ knowledge/ experience or equivalent training required. Previous warehouse experience and/or knowledge of . Mail and other courier systems required. Strong communication (verbal, written, and comprehension of the English language). Experience in a lead role required. Must be flexible
    and able to manage multiple priorities. Ability to interface with all levels of personnel, work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Associates Degree Preferred (. Business
    Management, Business Administration, Engineering).

    For . locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $44,920.00 and $58,240.00 per year and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
