Responsibilities:
  • This contractor role supports the Field Engineering group within Distribution Engineering.
  • The engineer will work closely with Field Engineering teams to support capital project scoping, field-based assessments, and process improvement initiatives.
  • The role emphasizes technical analysis, documentation, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
  • Conduct field assessments and power system modeling (e.g., load flow studies).
  • Support grid modernization, infrastructure replacement, and resiliency programs.
  • Scope capital projects including overhead/underground conductor replacements, programmable capacitor control, and fuse upgrades.
  • Document and track projects using client’s Project Initiation Forms (PIFs) and Master Distribution Interface (MDI).
