POSITION SUMMARY:

The Distribution Manager will oversee our Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio regional distribution facility. This role is responsible for the leadership, strategic direction, and overall performance of the site distribution business. The Distribution Manager will lead a team of approximately 40 employees and will be instrumental in driving growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Leadership and Management:

  • Provide strong leadership and direction to distribution staff at the facility.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Operational Oversight:

  • Manage the regional distribution center operations, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Establish a collaborative relationship with peer Production Manager who oversees the manufacturing activities in the building.
  • Financial Performance:

  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Monitor financial performance, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Drive profitability through effective resource allocation and process optimization.
  • Customer Focus:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through consistent product quality and reliable distribution services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Address and resolve customer issues and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Implement lean principles and other continuous improvement initiatives ensuring the focus point of all supply chain activities are optimized.
  • Lead projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, reducing waste, and improving overall productivity.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, incorporating relevant innovations into distribution.
  • Provide transparency and a reporting cadence among partners ensuring your process improvements extend outside of the facilty.
  • Talent Development:

  • Train and develop staff, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
  • Identify and nurture future leaders within the organization.
  • REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in distribution with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven track record of distribution operational excellence and financial acumen.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and distribution logistics.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems and other relevant software tools.
  • Minimum HS degree or GED
  • PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
