Emmy Squared Shaw is hiring experienced Prep Cooks to join our growing team. As part of the Pizza Loves Emily Restaurant Group, Emmy Squared is a growing upscale casual full-service restaurant brand known for our Detroit-style pizza, award-winning burgers, and commitment to quality, creativity, and hospitality. Your Role as a Prep Cook:
As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in the success of our kitchen by ensuring ingredients and dishes are prepared to the highest standards. You will:
+ Prepare specific food items and recipes with accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
+ Maintain kitchen sanitation in accordance with health department guidelines.
+ Set up and maintain assigned kitchen workstations.
+ Properly handle, store, and date food items to ensure freshness and safety.
+ Use facility supplies and equipment responsibly to minimize loss and waste.
+ Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to management.
+ Keep work areas clean, organized, and sanitized at all times.
+ Perform other back-of-house duties as assigned by management.
What You Bring to the Table:
+ At least 1 year of experience as a prep or line cook in a full-service restaurant.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing responsibilities.
+ Calm and welcoming demeanor, even under pressure.
+ Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
+ Physical capability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs., push/pull up to 75 lbs., and stand for extended periods, with frequent bending and reaching overhead.
+ Familiarity with culinary tools (knives, commercial equipment, etc.) and the ability to taste/smell for quality assurance.
+ A passion for food—pizza knowledge is a plus!
