Overview

• Thoroughly document the description and detailed condition and intended design of each item submitted for matting/framing.
• Measure items to be framed and requisitions all the materials needed for the complete matting/frame.
• Cut matt board, backing, internal protection, and assemble all other materials, using special cutting machine and other tools.
• Cut glass and moulds to create frames.
• Close mattings/frames as per guidelines.
• Prepare final put-up and make item ready for sale.
• May repair and redecorate old or broken frames.
• Assist in the preservation of historic pictures/artwork.

• Frames pictures/artwork in custom-made or stock frames.
• Handle customer’s picture/artwork in a fashion to prevent damage or loss to company standards.
