Drainage Engineer
Locations with Openings in FL: West Palm Beach, Jacksonville, or Tampa, FL

Salary: 75K to 95K

Experience: 5 to 8 years

License: PE or EI required

Summary

We are seeking an experienced and licensed Drainage Engineer to support transportation infrastructure projects in Florida. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, engineering design, and cross-functional team coordination. This role is for a motivated and detail-oriented professional ready to take on complex drainage challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for transportation and site projects

  • Support design tasks including research, basin delineation, storm sewer layout, and stormwater facility design

  • Prepare plans, quantity estimates, and post-design services

  • Compile permit packages and technical documentation

  • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary project teams

  • Review and prepare drainage plans and drawings

  • Ensure quality control and regulatory compliance throughout the project

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

  • Florida PE license or EI certification required

  • Proficient in OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, or GEOPAK

  • Experience with modeling tools preferred such as ASAD, ICPR or Stormwise, HY-8, and HEC-RAS

  • Familiarity with FDOT design standards

  • Able to work independently and within cross-functional teams
