Job Title: D365 Technical Consultant – Power Platform SME
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Dynamics 365 Technical Consultant with deep expertise in the Power Platform to design, develop, and support enterprise-scale solutions on Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and CE. This role requires strong technical ownership, integration skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and well-architected solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Azure services.
Key Responsibilities
D365 Technical Ownership
- Act as a Technical SME for Dynamics 365 (F&O / CE) and Power Platform solutions.
- Design and develop customizations, extensions, and integrations aligned with D365 best practices.
- Provide technical guidance on architecture, performance, security, and scalability.
Power Platform Expertise
- Design and build Canvas Apps and Model-driven Apps for enterprise use cases.
- Develop and manage Power Automate flows for business process automation and system integrations.
- Create Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards for operational and executive insights.
- Implement Dataverse data models, security roles, and data lifecycle management.
Integrations & Automation
- Design and implement integrations between D365, Power Platform, and external systems using APIs, Azure Logic Apps, Service Bus, and custom connectors.
- Automate business processes, approvals, notifications, and data synchronization.
- Ensure reliability, monitoring, and error handling for integrations and automations.
Development & Delivery
- Develop and maintain X++ extensions (for D365 F&O) and plugins/custom workflows (for CE).
- Support data migration, upgrades, and environment management across Dev/Test/UAT/Prod.
- Perform code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to ensure technical solutions meet business requirements.
Governance & Best Practices
- Define and enforce Power Platform governance, ALM, and security standards.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for D365 and Power Platform solutions.
- Promote reusability, low-code best practices, and solution lifecycle management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 6–10+ years of experience in Dynamics 365 technical development.
- Strong expertise in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse.
- Hands-on experience with D365 F&O technical stack (X++, extensions, integrations) or D365 CE plugins and workflows.
- Solid understanding of Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, API Management).
- Experience with REST APIs, OAuth2, and integration patterns.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD, ALM, and environment management.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience with Power Platform Co E setup and governance frameworks.
- Knowledge of security, compliance, and role-based access control in D365.
- Exposure to Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions, or other CI/CD tools.
- Microsoft certifications in D365 or Power Platform.
