Job Summary

We are seeking a highly self-directed and execution-focused E-commerce Developer to independently lead the design, build, and launch of a software sales platform integrated into our existing WordPress website. This role is suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes full ownership of deliverables, and can translate high-level requirements into production-ready solutions with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience delivering end-to-end e-commerce solutions for digital products and software licensing, with strong judgment, problem-solving ability, and the discipline to manage priorities, timelines, and quality independently.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Ownership & Delivery

• Independently design, build, test, and deploy a fully functional e-commerce platform for software product sales.
• Own the end-to-end integration of the e-commerce solution within the existing WordPress environment.
• Translate high-level business requirements into clear technical solutions without constant oversight.

E-commerce & Automation

• Implement digital downloads, license key generation, renewal workflows, and automated order fulfillment.
• Configure and secure payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal), ensuring reliability and compliance.
• Build robust account management features including user login, purchase history, and license lifecycle tracking.

Performance, Security & Quality

• Ensure mobile responsiveness, performance optimization, and SEO best practices from day one.
• Apply strong web security controls (SSL, secure downloads, access controls, data protection).
• Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and technical debt—and resolve them quickly.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements, validate assumptions, and demonstrate progress.
• Provide clear documentation, technical handover notes, and maintenance guidance with minimal rework.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience independently delivering e-commerce platforms, preferably for digital goods or software.
• Strong proficiency in WordPress, WooCommerce, and custom plugin development.
• Hands-on experience with license key management, secure downloads, and order automation.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs (payment gateways, CRM, analytics, email tools).
• Solid understanding of web security best practices and data protection.
• Front-end: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React/Vue is a plus).
• Back-end: PHP, MySQL, REST APIs.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage deadlines, and make sound technical decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with subscription models, SaaS platforms, or license renewals.
• Familiarity with CRM or marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp).
• Exposure to DevOps, deployment workflows, or performance monitoring tools.
