:Summary: The Center for Leadership & Community Engagement (CLCE) is AU’s hub for engaging with the DMV through community outreach and civic action. We are seeking an organized, self-motivated, and passionate student to assist in coordinating programs that recognize and empower students involved in Community-Based work. Primarily, this role helps coordinate the Eagle Endowment for Public & Community Service. The Eagle Endowment differs from AU’s Endowment. It’s a unique program with a rich history. Founded in the aftermath of 9/11 by students, it became the first student-led Endowment in the USA! Recently, the Eagle Endowment won a grant competition and the title of “top college philanthropic organization in the USA”. The Eagle Endowment gives AU Students/Clubs grants of up to $1,000 (along with a year of mentorship) to make a lasting difference through social action projects.
