Job Description
EC Teachers in separate settings provide specialized instruction to students with significant academic, behavioral, or developmental needs in a self-contained classroom. They design individualized lessons aligned with IEP goals, manage smaller class sizes, implement behavior plans, and often teach functional life skills alongside academics. These teachers collaborate with related service providers and ensure compliance with special education regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations
+ Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred
+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
