Job Description

An opportunity is available for a skilled cardiac sonographer with extensive echocardiography experience in Shawnee, KS. This contract role offers a chance to apply your expertise in a dynamic healthcare environment utilizing advanced imaging technology. The position primarily supports inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care services across various departments including the OR, cath lab, and EP lab.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic echocardiograms with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Utilize GE Vivid E95 and Philips CVX systems for resting, stress, and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE).
  • Collaborate with cardiology and multidisciplinary teams to support patient care in various hospital settings.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in the EMR system (EPIC).
  • Attend required orientations and comply with facility protocols including nicotine-free policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years clinical experience as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer performing at least 4,000 echocardiograms.
  • Credentialed as RCS-CCI or RDCS-ARDMS; current BLS certification.
  • Graduate from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program or related health science field.
  • Experience or certification in IV and ultrasound-enhancing agent (UEA) contrast administration is a plus.
  • Familiarity with neonatal echo is advantageous but not required.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • One on-call night per week
  • No weekends or holiday shifts required
