PURPOSECommunicate all aspects of load assignments to drivers, via electronic or verbal media Manage driver schedules, driver locations and driver communication on a daily basis Monitor driver locations, progress, routing, and time at stops Maintain driver hours / miles and approve for payroll Manage and monitor driver paperwork and BOLs to ensure correct and time completion Reduce driver turnover to acceptable corporate levels Issue and ensure accuracy of disciplinary action when necessary Assist drivers with customer and/ or operational issues or ...
The Dispatcher is responsible for day to day Transportation operations, which include maintaining driver relations and all customer service functions needed to ensure customer satisfaction. The operational functions include revenue generation (headhaul / backhaul), safety, equipment maintenance monitoring, and driver payroll.
