We invite you to become an integral part of the Performance and Insights Team within our Ecommerce & Marketing department. As our Performance Analyst, you'll be a key partner in advancing our data-driven decision-making. You will help mature our marketing and ecommerce initiatives by tackling complex data challenges head-on and shaping the future of our analytics capabilities.

Your Role: A mix of customer, ecommerce & marketing analytics, to drive a better customer experience

In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving business growth by leveraging data analytics and business insights for the Ecommerce & Marketing department.

  • Your expertise will be instrumental in interpreting customer data and analyzing ecommerce activity.

  • Utilize your proficiency in SQL, R, or Python to dissect, validate, and synthesize complex customer, e-commerce, and marketing data, even when it is incomplete or housed in disparate systems.

  • You will analyze large and diverse datasets to identify trends, customer behavior patterns, and areas for performance improvement.

  • Provide actionable, data-driven insights and recommendations, while clearly communicating any assumptions or limitations based on data quality.

  • Your work will directly influence customer behavior, optimizing their journey across our platforms.

  • Independently create detailed analysis for stakeholders, highlighting key insights, trends, and performance metrics.

  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with your America and Belgium stakeholders, adapting to different time zones and communication styles.

  • Who You Are: A resilient analyst with critical skills and solid business acumen

  • Master’s degree in applied economics, statistics, analytics or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, proving your analytical and strategic capabilities.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Google BigQuery.

  • Familiarity with BI systems like Tableau, Looker, or Qlikview.

  • Good knowledge of Ecommerce and Marketing analytics tools and tactics such as Mixpanel, Google Analytics, event tracking, etc..

  • A resilient and persistent problem-solver; you view data integrity issues, gaps, or inconsistencies not as blockers, but as challenges to be investigated and solved.

  • Highly proactive, a critical thinker, and an excellent communicator who thrives both independently and in a team setting.

  • Possess a high degree of intellectual curiosity and patience, with a thorough approach to data validation and analysis.

  • Proficient in articulating complex technical concepts in a manner that is accessible to both experts and business-oriented individuals.

  • You thrive in dynamic environments and have experience working effectively in a globally distributed team, demonstrating a strong, autonomous work ethic.

  • Key Responsibilities

    Result Area 1 - Advanced analytical expertise and Data insight generation

  • Data Sourcing: Independently investigate and integrate e-commerce and marketing data from multiple sources such as web analytics, ecom, search, and existing data sources.

  • Analysis Preparation: clean, transform, and structure data for complex analysis, ensuring it aligns with business objectives.

  • Data Validation: Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and document data quality issues, working to validate data accuracy and reliability before analysis and reporting.

  • Data Analysis: Employ advanced skills in statistical languages (SQL and/or R/Python) to analyze customer, e-commerce, and marketing data, identifying trends and insights. Perform deep analytics for Ecommerce & Marketing activities.

  • Translating Insights: Translate complex data into actionable insights, clearly outlining assumptions and confidence levels to steer on improvements across omnichannel activities.

  • Reporting: Independently create own reports and slide decks for meetings with stakeholders.

  • Result Area 2 - Input for e-commerce and marketing performance improvement

  • Customer Insights: Conduct in-depth analysis to understand feature usage, purchasing patterns, and overall engagement with ecommerce platforms and marketing initiatives.

  • Optimization: Provide actionable, data-driven recommendations and collaborate with stakeholders to implement, test, and refine strategies.

  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify improvement areas or opportunities not only in e-commerce and marketing, but also in underlying data capture processes.

  • Result Area 3 - KPI Development and performance monitoring

  • Manage and refine KPI and/or Balanced Scorecard frameworks for tracking omnichannel initiative performance.

  • Proactively monitor key performance metrics for e-commerce platforms, marketing campaigns, and customer engagement.

  • Regularly develop KPI trends, insights, and risks for leadership.

  • Result Area 4 - Contribute to Data-Driven culture

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data analysis processes and documentation.

  • Train the business in the use of self-service of existing dashboards and respond to questions of the users in the business.

  • Regularly share best practices and insights with the team.

  • Result Area 5 - Cross-Departmental Communication and Collaboration

  • Engage in cross-team collaborations, ensuring alignment of strategic and tactical plans with data insights.

  • Translate customer data from various departments into cohesive and relevant customer insights towards teams and stakeholders.

  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with America and Belgium stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and results.
