EDI ProgrammerPosition Profile:Optimas is seeking to add an EDI Programmer for our corporate headquarters team in supporting B2b/EDI integrations.The EDI Programmer will work collaboratively with various Business areas including Sales, Inventory Management and Accounting to deliver key features and capabilities supporting the business strategy as well as supporting existing systems and processes.Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Participate in translating business and customer requirements into well researched and designed custom applications or existing software modifications with legacy and new systems
  • Work on troubleshooting problems as well as recommend / implement effective solutions
  • Document testing and maintenance of system changes
  • On-call support responsibilities
    • Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of X12 and EDIFACT EDI documents and hands-on mapping experience
  • Experience with Sterling Integrator (B2Bi) mapping tools, including but not limited to writing translation maps and Business Process development.Experience with administering the application a plus
  • Experience with electronic communication protocols such as VAN, AS2, OFTP, FTP, etc
  • Proficient in SQL
  • Knowledge of BOOMI platform recommended
  • NetSuite experience preferred
  • Experience with Epicor Manufacturing software a plus
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Experience writing technical specifications and developing test plans
  • Must have experience and working knowledge of the software development life cycle
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in team environment as well as individually
  • Knowledge of XML structures and JAVA a plus
