Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your extensive software development and team management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in managing resources and competencies within the TCMS Software engineering domain, ensuring efficient project execution and adherence to standard methodologies and processes. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including Train Control Engineers, Verification & Validation Engineers, and Sub-System Managers, to deliver high-quality solutions on time, while also fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
You’ll specifically take care of workload management and team development, but also ensure the traceability and configuration of tools used by your team.
We’ll look to you for:
Setting clear directions and objectives for your team, aligned with organizational goals
Providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative team environment
Proactively monitoring project progress and implementing mitigation actions to address potential delays
Managing the traceability and configuration of tools used by the team
Driving lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives
Identifying and nurturing talent within your team

Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Extensive hands-on experience in the complete software development life cycle across multiple projects
Experience managing a team of 5 or more engineers for at least 3 years
Knowledge of train systems, including system analysis and railway operations
Experience with IEC61131-3 software development or model-based development tools like Controlbuild or MATLAB/Simulink
Familiarity with real-time, distributed controllers and real-time network protocols (, MVB, CIP, Ethernet, CAN, RS232, RS485)
Ability to manage work packages for sub-contractors
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
