Educational Interpreter - Manteca, CA

Seeking skilled Sign Language Interpreters (SLIs) to support K-12 educational environments within a public school district located near Manteca, CA. This contract position is for the current school year (CSY) and offers both full-time and part-time opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Full-time SLIs will provide interpreting services within special education (SPED) classrooms.
• Part-time SLIs will support general education settings.
• Deliver accurate and effective sign language interpretation to deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
• Collaborate closely with educators and support staff to facilitate communication access.
• Work onsite at assigned school locations.

Qualifications:

• Must have an EIPA score of at least 4.0.
• Proven ability to interpret in educational settings, especially SPED.
• Bilingual Spanish skills are highly desirable, reflecting the districts predominantly Spanish-speaking population.
