Job Summary:

The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment at the residential construction site by implementing safety policies, monitoring compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture among workers, contractors, and site staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor site safety policies in compliance with statutory and company standards.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Identify hazards and ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken.
• Ensure proper use of PPE by all site personnel.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for workers.
• Monitor work at heights, excavation, lifting operations, scaffolding, and electrical safety.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions;
  prepare incident reports.
• Maintain safety documentation, registers, permits, and statutory records.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors on safety matters.
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws, EHS norms, and fire safety requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma / Degree in Safety, Engineering, or relevant certification (NEBOSH / IOSH / ADIS preferred).
• 2–5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in residential or building construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and local regulations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle emergency situations and enforce safety rules effectively.
• Experience in high-rise residential projects.
• First-aid and fire safety training certification.
