EHS Engineer 2

Descripción

Responsible for establishing and promoting a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with regulations and developing and implementing EHS programs. The engineer conducts risk assessments, develops safety procedures, and provides training to employees. Also investigates incidents, identifies root causes, and recommends corrective actions. Develops projects to improve the EHS department by analyzing data from day‑to‑day activities.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, and monitor company environmental and safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain safety inventory and perform periodic safety inspections.
• Interact with various departments to conduct training in emergency response and hazardous material handling.
• Support industrial hygiene, life safety, and ergonomic compliance activities in collaboration with other departments.

Experiencia y Habilidades Requeridas

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or industrial hygiene.
• At least 1 year of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) in manufacturing.
• Combination of education, root cause analysis, risk assessment, and change management.
• Proven ability to influence others and drive a proactive EHS culture.
• Ability to analyze data, track trends, and implement improvement plans.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and EHS Management Systems (ISO 45001:2015).

Experiencia y Habilidades Deseadas

• Understanding of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Strong assessment of chemical risks.
• Conversational English proficiency.
• EHS diploma is a plus.
