Molex is looking for an Environmental, Health, and Safety Engineer (EHS Engineer) to drive innovative strategies and ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and environmental standards. What You Will Do
* Implement and continuously improve the plant's EH&S system to establish a culture of safety excellence.
* Lead efforts to identify, reduce, eliminate, and control occupational and environmental risks through best practices and effective methodologies.
* Facilitate incident and accident investigations, implementing preventive measures to ensure a safer work environment.
* Ensure compliance with legal standards related to ecology and the environment, preventing non-compliance sanctions.
* Collaborate with medical service personnel to advise and coordinate on safety and hygiene matters.
* Oversee audits and inspections of safety, hygiene, and environmental management systems, ensuring alignment with applicable standards.
* Develop and deliver training programs on safety, health, and environmental practices, fostering a proactive and informed workforce.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Environmental Science, Engineering, or Safety Management.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Mexican legislation on safety, hygiene, and environment at municipal, state, and federal levels.
* Expertise in implementing ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 management systems.
* Proficiency in safety programs, including LOTO, machinery safety, and high-risk task management.
* Ability to interpret and apply lean manufacturing processes to safety and environmental practices.
What Will Put You Ahead
* Certification as an internal auditor in management systems such as ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018; IATF 16949 or ISO 13485 preferred.
* Knowledge of self-management system certification processes and governmental requirements.
* Training in Mexican environmental and safety legislation (SEMARNAT, SEMADET, STPS, CONAGUA, Civil Protection, etc.).
* Familiarity with behavior-based safety and continuous improvement tools such as Gemba and Kaizen.
