Job Description
We are seeking an EHS Specialist to support day-to-day safety activities on a large, fast-paced client site in Cork. This is a hands-on role where the candidate will work closely with operations, engineering, and contractor teams to ensure general and electrical safety standards are met, risks are managed, and compliance requirements are understood and followed.
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation of EHS policies and procedures on-site.
Assist as the EHS contact for electrical works and related activities.
Help conduct basic risk assessments, job safety analyses, and method statement reviews, particularly for electrical tasks.
Carry out site inspections, safety walks, and hazard reporting.
Support permit-to-work systems, including LOTO and electrical permits.
Contribute to investigations of minor incidents or near misses under supervision.
Support toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Maintain basic EHS documentation and reporting as required.
Requirements
2β3 yearsβ experience in an EHS / Safety Specialist role
Electrical background advantageous but not essential
Some exposure to industrial, manufacturing, construction, or data center environments is advantageous.
Awareness of electrical safety principles, including isolation, LOTO, and voltage risks.
Qualifications
EHS certification (NEBOSH, IOSH, QQI Level 8, or equivalent) is preferred or in progress
Manual Handling, Working at Heights, LOTO training (or willingness to obtain).
Safe Pass certification (or willingness to obtain).
Electrical qualifications a plus but not essential
